Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Crofton Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Crofton Baptist members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission Outreach

Crofton Baptist is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around Kentucky and the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We send a mission group to Negeezi, New Mexico, and partner with missions in Eastern Kentucky. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community. Wednesday nights are designated as “Mission Night” consisting of The Source (youth class), RA’s, GA’s, and Mission Friends.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Crofton Baptist Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Discipleship Training

On Sunday evening before the evening service discipleship training classes are offered for all age groups, from nursery to adults. During the hour of study, various topics are studied which help to develop members to responsible church membership and Christian living. Bible Drill is offered for 1st-6th grade to help children increase in the knowledge of the Bible.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Crofton Baptist Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Youth Ministries

The Source Student Ministries at Crofton Baptist serves teenagers in the 7th to 12th grades. By engaging young people with biblical truth, we strive to connect teens to Christ and pour into their lives the love and teaching of Jesus so that they will overflow with the joy and blessing that only comes from God. If you are looking for a bible-based, fun-filled, and culturally revelant group that will have a positive, lasting influence on your life, get connected to the Source.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Crofton Baptist Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service,  volunteers are praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Children’s Church

If you are looking for a place for your child to grow in the warmth and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, Crofton Baptist is for you. We have a vibrant Children’s program that ministers to 1st – 6th grades. By teaching a Bible based, exciting curriculum, our children are receiving a foundation that is preparing the way for success as a teen and adult.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, Crofton Baptist Church hosts our largest ministry outreach, VBS, for ages 3 years old – adults. We start the week off with on Sunday night with our VBS Kickoff.  The kidkoff is a good to pre-register for VBS, eat , play games, have your face painted, jump on our bouncers or partcipate in an obstacle course.  There is lots of fun for all ages!  We have a meal each night for anyone participating in VBS (this is great for anyone who works and does not have time to fix dinner), bible stories, songs, crafts, games, snacks, & prizes.
